I started Pilates with Rebecca as an absolute beginner trying to fix back issues and strengthen my core to help with running.
Rebecca’s brilliant at instructing, giving me confidence by guiding me through the exercises and helping me understand what’s happening on an anatomical level.
She tailors the exercises to suit my goals and is attentive to how I’m finding each session, adapting on the fly to make sure I’m always comfortable and progressing.
A year later, my back’s now injury-free and my core is stronger than ever. Each week I leave feeling great both physically and mentally from such a calming environment and positive teacher. Can’t recommend enough.
A friend recommended Rebecca’s Pilates sessions to me when I mentioned that my husband and I were looking for something to limit long-standing job-related postural issues.
Neither of us were sure what to expect but we haven’t looked back. Not only have the sessions helped the postural issues but now we both have improved core strength and feel generally better in ourselves.
We can’t praise Rebecca enough for her professional, calm and supportive approach.
Following an acute and severe episode of sciatica I attended 1:1 sessions with Rebecca with the aim of improving my symptoms and core strength.
Rebecca is calm and empathetic. Rebecca had great skill in identifying my problems and the expertise and knowledge to gradually and effectively address these. Her experience and care has helped me improve my range of movement, pain, stamina and core strength.
I am very grateful to her and without doubt have found her intervention to have been highly effective.
Perhaps most importantly I have really enjoyed pilates and can’t understand why I hadn’t done it sooner.
I’ve been attending Rebecca’s matwork classes for nearly a year now - this is the longest period I’ve ever committed to a weekly exercise, so that should tell you something! I look forward to every class as I feel I’ve had a workout each time, as well as time to reset my brain.
Rebecca brings a new variation each class so its never boring or predictable, and she really pays attention to the experience/confidence levels in class in order to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy it.
I’ve recently started 121 reformer classes too - it was quite daunting for me as a relative beginner, but Rebecca has found a great balance of challenge and support in my classes and I thoroughly enjoy them. Rebecca is an amazing instructor who talks you through each exercise and ensures you understand the essence and which muscles should be activated. I feel an inch taller after every class!
I’m a Pilates beginner and Rebecca has been the perfect teacher. She is very patient and supportive. As the classes are small she is able to give individual guidance, particularly if you have any aches and pains.
The biggest benefit for me is being able to switch off completely for an hour and just focus on breathing and the moves. I can’t believe I didn’t start Pilates years ago!
