Hi, I’m Rebecca — a Pilates teacher who specialises in helping people rebuild trust in their bodies and themselves through movement.
I know what it’s like to live with chronic pain and to feel like your body is failing you. And I also know how transformative a regular movement practice can be.
I’ve worked with beginners through to advanced students, including people with special conditions, back and joint problems, sports injuries, post-natal and post surgery.
I work in partnership with people towards greater awareness, compassion and body-mind connection so they can stand tall, move with ease and feel strong.
When I discovered Pilates I was at a very low point in my life — burnt out from a stressful office job and dealing with the grief of infertility.
Back pain had been a problem for so long that I couldn’t imagine a future where I would be able to be fit and active again.
It took time, but eventually my confidence in my body and myself began to return. I grew stronger physically, mentally and emotionally.
This profoundly healing experience inspired me to become a teacher.
A friend recommended Rebecca’s Pilates sessions to me when I mentioned that my husband and I were looking for something to limit long-standing job-related postural issues.
Neither of us were sure what to expect but we haven’t looked back. Not only have the sessions helped the postural issues but now we both have improved core strength and feel generally better in ourselves.
We can’t praise Rebecca enough for her professional, calm and supportive approach.
